There is something nice about getting out in the yard after a long, cold winter. Clear out the garden beds, dislodge the gutters of debris, pick up sticks, and try to make sense of the mess that nature made all winter. We had an extremely mild winter, so the grass had a good head start.
Our big move was to knock down our old Screen House, which we inherited from the previous owners over two decades ago, but only just this year got around to demolishing for good. We had been patching it up year after year and it finally gave up the ghost. We also had our old shed removed, which was in even worse shape, if that was possible.
We are letting the lawn take over the yard where the Screen House once stood, and a new shed comes in a few weeks.
